Gilbert and Sullivan’s comedy about pirates, policemen and paradoxes is their most famous and most performed opera and is always a fan favourite, wherever in the world it is seen. Even those who have never seen the show before will probably be aware of the unbelievable speed of the Major Generals Song or the sound of hundreds of policeman chanting “taran tara” as they march across Cornwall and so amateur companies across the globe have turned to Pirates as a fantastic asset to their performance calendar. However, much of this shows joy and comedy comes from the expansive and occasionally ridiculous orchestration and at times the hire of a full size orchestra is just not possible. For times when a full band isn’t an option we have the next best thing, and you can perform The Pirates of Penzance with a 45 Piece Orchestra.
It is very rare for an amateur production to have the budget to hire 45 top quality musicians to play this show and so it is often performed with a much reduced band or even simply a piano. We are here to change that and you can now treat your audiences to this exceptional comedy for a fraction of that cost!
Not only do you get high quality recordings, we also tailor each backing track for you. You specify:
