About

At PM Backing Tracks, we know two things better than most.

  1. How to make backing tracks that sound incredible & make anyone believe that you have half a symphony orchestra hidden backstage.
  2. How to make them work for Musical Theatre.

We know that using backing tracks is not the ideal situation. In an ideal world you would have the full band that the show was orchestrated for, they would be note perfect on day one and even things like the keyboard programming would be easy. Unfortunately we often have to make compromises to ensure that the show happens at all and often that compromise involves either reducing the band, reducing the standard of the players or losing the band altogether. When that happens you are then stuck with whatever backing tracks you can find and you have to fit your show around them.

We are here to tell you that this doesn’t have to be the case!

We use a collection of some of the world’s most extensive sample libraries (which were originally created so film composers could score blockbusters from the comfort of their own homes), to create your tracks. Playing every single note of the score in by hand to ensure that it sounds realistic. These sample library tracks are infinitely adjustable, so if you want edits to vamps or tempi or even keys, these can be done within minutes and will not affect the sound of your tracks. For more information, head to our How It Works page.

And the best part, no one can tell the difference! If you don’t believe us, listen to the tracks on each shows’ demo page.

We work with you from day one up until curtain down on the final performance to ensure that you have our support every step of the way and ensuring that your performance is in very safe hands.
